Privacy Policy

MovingMoving Ltd ("we", "us") provides rubbish clearance and furniture removal across Birmingham and within about 10 miles of it. This page explains what information we collect when you get a quote, book a collection or pay online, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• Contact details — your name, phone number and the postcode or address you want collected from, given when you request a price or make a booking.
• Photos — if you send photos to get a price (via the "Send a photo" page or the quote form), we use them to work out what needs collecting and how much it will cost. You can also optionally add photos when you book, once your price is already fixed, so our crew know what to expect before they arrive — these aren't used for pricing and aren't sent to any AI model.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details on our own systems; Stripe passes us only the confirmation that a payment succeeded.
• Website usage — only if you accept the cookie banner. Until you accept, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google. See "Cookies" below.
• Sign-in — if you use "My account" to look up a past booking, we email a one-time link to sign in; no password is set or stored. A short-lived sign-in token and a session cookie (deleted when you sign out, or after 30 days) are the only records this creates.

Why we use it

• To give you an accurate price and arrange your collection.
• To take payment for a booking, through Stripe.
• To send you booking confirmations and updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp, depending how you got in touch.
• To issue the waste transfer note that the law requires for every collection we make, as a registered waste carrier (licence CBDU497669).
• Where you send photos and don't manually list what needs collecting, an AI model may read them to work out a price. It is only ever shown a fixed list of item types we already price on this site — it cannot invent new charges. Photos sent this way are processed by Anthropic's API for that single purpose and are not used to train any model or kept by us beyond pricing your job.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information, and we only share what's needed to run your booking:

• Stripe — to process card payments.
• Our email provider — to send booking confirmations and receipts from hello@movingmoving.co.uk.
• Anthropic — only if you send photos for an automatic price, as above.
• WhatsApp/Meta — only if you choose to contact us or book via WhatsApp; that conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy as well as ours.
• The Environment Agency or a similar regulator, if ever legally required to show our waste transfer records.

How long we keep it

• Waste transfer records are kept for at least two years, as our duty of care as a registered waste carrier requires.
• Booking and payment records — including any photos added at booking — are kept for as long as UK tax law requires businesses to retain accounting records (currently six years).
• Photos sent purely for an automatic price, where no booking follows, are not kept beyond pricing the enquiry.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics to see which pages lead to a booking — nothing more; no advertising or remarketing cookies, and no data sold to third parties. In line with UK law, nothing is set until you click "Accept" on the banner shown on your first visit. Clicking "Decline" is remembered and respected; you won't be asked again unless you clear your browser storage.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Email hello@movingmoving.co.uk and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
