Pricing
Most clearance firms make you ring up to find out what anything costs. Ours is two numbers, published, and they don’t change because of your postcode or the time of day.
We work your job out both ways and charge whichever is lower. Minimum charge £69. One cubic yard is about eight bin bags, or two wheelie bins.
For clear-outs, bagged waste and anything hard to itemise.
For one or two big things, where volume pricing would overcharge you.
Only these, only when they apply, and always shown before you book.
Sofas and armchairs are POPs waste: by law they must be incinerated rather than landfilled, and the tip charges us more to take them. We pass on £10 rather than burying it in the headline price.

Before you ask
Two ways, and you pay whichever is lower: £39 call-out plus £22 per cubic yard your stuff takes up in the van, or a fixed price per item from the list on the quote page. There’s a £69 minimum charge. That’s the whole formula — it’s on the homepage, not something we work out differently over the phone.
You're charged the quoted price in full at booking, so please list what's genuinely there. If it's honestly different on the day, message us afterwards and we'll take a look — it isn't an automatic adjustment.
Same day in most of Birmingham and within about 10 miles of it if you get in touch before mid-afternoon, at no extra charge — evenings and Sundays are the normal rate too. Slightly further out, it’s usually the next morning.
Yes, any time before your slot. You're refunded in full except a small cancellation fee (25% of your total, minimum £20) — the same rule however much notice you give.
Every collection gets a waste transfer form with our carrier details on it, sent to you the same evening — that’s your legal protection if anything were ever fly-tipped down the line. It’s not optional or an upsell.
Yes — registered waste carrier CBDU497669, which you can look up yourself on the government’s public register rather than take our word for it. We also carry £5m public liability insurance.
Almost everything from a normal house or office clearout, yes. Upholstered sofas and chairs carry a small, published disposal surcharge because the law requires them to be incinerated rather than landfilled. A handful of items — certain electricals mainly — need extra paperwork rather than a straightforward transfer note, which we handle automatically; it doesn’t change the price.
Where it actually goes
Every item gets the correct waste code (the same EWC classification a council uses), goes to the facility that matches it — a licensed WEEE site for electricals, the correct hazardous stream for upholstery and sharps — and comes back to you as a written transfer note the same day. That paperwork is your proof it was handled properly, not tipped in a field somewhere, and it's included on every job, not an upsell.
Still usable? Try a charity first. If a sofa, wardrobe or appliance still works, a local charity may collect it for free and put it straight back to use, rather than it coming to us at all — British Heart Foundation and Emmaus both run furniture donation and reuse schemes with a presence in Birmingham. We're glad to clear whatever's left afterwards.
